Dr Renée Purdy is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor with a general Naturopathic Medicine practice in Moncton, New Brunswick. She is a graduate from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto and has an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in International Development Studies. She is also a member of the New Brunswick Association of Naturopathic Doctors and of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. She is an expert in natural holistic healthcare and has a focus on digestive health, hormonal balance and chronic stress and fatigue. Following the principles of Naturopathic Medicine, Renée works on all aspects of health, including mind, body and spirit, in order to allow the body to heal. She works with individuals and groups to help them take back their health and reach their greatest level of health, as she believes that health is essential for us to reach full potential and live our best life. Renée is also a member of the faculty for Natural Doctors International (NDI), a naturopathic global health organization that promotes holistic healthcare. Any of the following naturopathic modalities may be used alone or in combination, depending on the individual and the condition(s) being treated.

Botanical medicine

Botanical medicine combines traditional knowledge and modern scientific research on medicinal plants and is used as a safe and effective treatment for a number of conditions. Medicinal plants can be used as food, herbal teas, capsule form or in an alcohol-based extract.


In Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture has been shown to to be effective for anxiety and depression, pain management, hormonal imbalances and many other conditions.

Clinical nutrition

Nutrition is one of the important pillars of health. This includes dietary modifications and supplementing with minerals and vitamins when appropriate.

Lifestyle Counselling

The lifestyle we lead has a significant impact on our health, stress being the main culprit. Strategies and tips for managing stress are an important part any treatment plan.

Vitamin B12 injection

High dose methylcobalamin (active form of vitamin B12) may be used to correct deficiencies and to treat symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, sleep disturbances, anxiety, depression, etc.

Laboratory testing

Advanced laboratory testing is available and performed in office or at home. Lab testing is helpful is providing targeted treatment for faster results.

Hormone Testing

Hormone imbalances can cause symptoms such as chronic fatigue, difficulty sleeping, difficult weight loss, menstrual irregularities, infertility, etc. Testing available includes cortisol, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone.

Vitamin D Testing

Vitamin D is considered to be the body's most important vitamin. It is estimated that more than 30% of Canadians are deficient in vitamin D. Maintaining adequate levels is essential not only for bone health, but to prevent certain cancers, to maintain a balanced mood and to help prevent many chronic conditions. Testing is available to ensure your vitamin D levels are adequate.

Food Sensitivity Testing

Food sensitivities cause chronic health problems such as digestive complaints, brain fog, eczema, difficult weight loss etc. This food sensitivity panel tests 120+ different items for sensitivities.

Your first visit will be 60 minutes in duration, during which Dr. Purdy will go through an extensive intake process including your current health concerns, past medical history and other relevant information. A focused physical exam may also be performed. In most cases, treatment will be initiated. Cost: $150

A first follow-up visit is usually 45 minutes, while subsequent 30 minutes in duration and are used to fine tune treatment, monitor progress, perform in-office treatments such as acupuncture, to perform or follow-up on laboratory testing and complete required physical exams. New concerns may also be brought up in follow-up visits. Cost 45 minute follow-up: 90$ Cost 30 minute follow-up: 75$
